Root: ع و ج Words from this Root in the Grand Qur'aan: a) Total occurrences: 9 b) No of constructions: 4 The basic perception infolded in the Root is of something crooked, one which is not straight or plain or rightly aligned. And any affair which is not straight and plain seems and is felt difficult, arduous or troublesome and it causes confusion, disconcert and ambiguity in perceiving it.
Then He will leave them plains smooth and leveled; exactly leveled that you will not see/find therein crooked/variation in alignment and curve/uneven surface. [20:107]
And when this word is used for negation of any crookedness with reference to a book it would obviously denote that the matter contained therein is void of any conflicting, contradictory, disconcerting, confusing, illusory or delusory and unaligned substance which could cause difficulty in perceiving it straight and plain. The grandeur and praise is for Allah.
He has since gradually sent the Book/Grand Qur'aan to His sincere allegiant/servant. o And He has not put in it/for him any illusory, delusory, conflicting, contradictory, disconcerting, confusing, unaligned matter/substance/statement. [18:01] The Book
the contents of which are void of
It/this Book contains firmly established, straight and stable [90 degree angle erect] facts so that he, the Messenger should warn of a severe punishment to be awarded by Him/Allah [to those who refuse and avoid it]. [Refer 18:02]
Qur'aan in Arabic language, the other/opposite of written books having/possessing/containing illusory, delusory, conflicting, contradictory, disconcerting, confusing, unaligned matter/ substance/statement, so that they may become heedful, cautious and rational. [39:28]
