And there came a caravan. For reason/spotting a well they sent their water-drawer/carrier to the well; for reason-purpose-that not being a regularly managed well-to fetch water he lowered his own bucket into the well,

[while lowering he saw into the well and spotted a child instead of water] He loudly called, "O good news! here is a minor boy".

And they, the caravan people, hid him with intent/consideration of merchandize;

o

And Allah is eternally All-Knower of what they people do/were doing. [12:19]

[reverting from parenthetic to the sequence of events] and they, the caravan people, sold him-the minor boy Yu'suf at the lowered bargain price [by the purchaser], a limited settled amount/dirham,

o

since they were interested more to give him away/get rid of him. [12:20]

And the one, who had bought him/Yu'suf, from/belonging to the City Misr [Egypt] said for [to] his wife imperatively,

"You make his stay dignified, perhaps he may benefit us or we might adopt him as our son" [please remember this scene/clip/footage and conversation throughout reading/watching this episode].

[Same pronouncement in same words in 12:56]

And this is how We provided a stronghold for Yu'suf in the City [Misr-known by non Arab world as Egypt],

and so that We may educate/teach him in the skill of perceiving/flesh out the end result/ reality/eventual meanings of the statements/event narrations/dreams.

And Allah is always dominant upon His affair/decision/command [to make it take effect]

[Same pronouncement in same words in 7:187;12:21,40,68;16:38;30:06,30;34:28,36;40:57;45:26]o

 But the fact is that most of the people do not know/intend to understand. [12:21]

[Similar information in 28:14]

[reverting from parenthetic to the sequence/update of events] And when he/Yusuf crossed over to strengthened maturity/became fully grown man, We gave him wisdom the capability to judge/decision and knowledge;

[Same pronouncement in same words in 6:84;28:14;37:80,105,110,121,131;77:44]o

And in this way We reward those who keep conducting  moderately, gracefully and generously. [12:22]

[reverting from parenthetic to the sequence of events on Yusuf's reaching strengthen maturity] and the woman in whose house he was living vehemently desired to delude/seduce him from his self [firm graceful conduct/nature]

and she overpowered by emotions closed the doors successively/one after the other [of main hall of house] and after having closed all the doors she said to him, "Now come on!".

He replied, "I seek refuge in Allah,

indeed He is my Sustainer Lord, He has made my stay perfectly good.

[Same pronouncement in same words 6:21,135;28:37]o

Indeed the matter is that the unjust/distorters of realities-relations-equations-balance never attain prosperous success at the end". [12:23]

And indeed she had made herself determined for him;

[parenthetically let everyone know that had he been an ordinary man in such volatile situation] And he might have inclined/floated in passion with her had it been not so that he had seen with his own eyes the proof [omnipresence] of his Sustainer Lord.

That was for purpose so that We may avert from him the evil and all sorts of illicit sexual things.

o

Indeed he was from amongst Our Servants who are perpetually pure-void of admixing good and bad/sincere. [12:24]

[reverting from parenthetic to the scene-And indeed she had made herself determined for him] and they both ran she racing to overtake him and she in effort to catch him torn his short from the back;

[Yusuf managed to rush open the door of exit] and they both found her husband nearing the door.

o

[perplexed by this unexpected arrival of her husband and reflective scene of rushing out] She said, "What could be the recompense/punishment for the one who intended evil/rape with your housemate except that he be imprisoned or a painful infliction?" [12:25]

He said, "She sought to delude/seduce me from my self to her desire".

[on these contradictory statements and allegation] And one present from her house-residents suggested the circumstantial evidence saying,

o

"if his shirt is damaged/creased from front then it proves she has stated the truth and he is from amongst the liars [Allah forbids] [12:26]

and if his shirt is damaged/creased from back then it proves that she has lied and he is from amongst the truthful". [12:27]

On this when he saw his shirt damaged/creased on its back he said, [diffusing the embarrassment]

o

"Indeed that is a sort of your dissimulation. Indeed your [women] dissimulation is great". [Please remember his remark is in a peculiar situation and state of mind. It was his mere diffusing statement, do not generalize it] [12:28]

He requested, "Yu'suf, you please ignore/avert [your mind] from it;

and you, O my wife, seek forgiveness for your slander,

o

indeed you were from amongst the erred ones". [12:29] [What a man was he, our respects and appreciation to him],
