Root:ق ر أ

Words from this Root in the Grand Qur'aan:

a) Total occurrences: 88

b) No of constructions: 24

The basic perception infolded in the Root is to collect  a thing at one place/point. It thus changes the scattered/separated/spread position of a thing into a collective whole. "قرات الناقة" means that the she-camel became pregnant. What is pregnancy? Why she became pregnant? What act made her pregnant? The act of collecting together [ ق ر أ] of the sperm and ova made her pregnant. "قرء" plural  is for menstruation of a woman. What is menstruation and what physical relationship does it have with the basic perception of Root ق ر أ ? Menstruation is breaking of the spread lining [endometrium] of the uterus which gets colleted together as a whole and is discharged through the vagina. Arabic Roots in their perception in fact enfold all the physical realities relating both to both matter and life.

The basic perception of the Root is compilation, the process of gathering. When we carry out this process with regard to letters/alphabet of a language/written material it produces and yields the product , a book; written reading material collected together and placed in one receptacle; it is the opposite of a shredded/scattered state.

Those amongst them who do not believe/look for meeting with Us, responded "You [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] come to us with some readable material/book other than this Qur'aan or you change/substitute [reading/contents of] this Qur'aan" [Refer10:15] [Muslims of today may ponder for a while and count how many books/written material other than the [] Grand Qur'aan is saved in their chests and revered and equated with it. The request of the pagans was nothing more than this.]

The Root ق ر أ is employed for the act of reading the written material []since reading is in fact joining and collecting the letters and signs of the language and simultaneously [though there is always a time lag trillionth or billionth of a second] pronouncing it with sound or without sound. Moreover, even when we read/recite to someone without there being the written matter in front, we in fact are reading the written matter earlier stored/written in the memory. However, though that writing is not ours but written by someone else exactly in the manner that the words written by us on the monitor screen with the help of key board are written in the hard disk by someone else.

However when we say to/command someone we actually ask him to read from the written paper/book placed/before him; "You read your book/written record" [Refer 17:14]

Therefore/hence you people read that much from the [Grand] Qur'aan which is convenient [for retaining your concentration/focus-the basic manner of reading a book] [Refer 73:20]

And The Book which was sent to Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam has been given the specific name , "The Grand Written Book/The Grand Qur'aan". After this the major classification of books in the world is, and all others are  of .
