The third type of words in Arabic speech are Verbs [فِعْلٌ plural أَفْعَالٌ ], the others being حرف and اِسم.

With regard to meanings and tense a verb is of three types:

(1) المضارع : It indicates the occurrence of an action in the present and/or future tense. Its near-equivalent in English is Imperfect verb. , . There are fourteen word-forms [صيغة] of the Imperfect verbs.

(2) الأمرُ : Imperative- a command-request/ prayer, . It can be considered as modification of the Imperfect verb.

(3)الماضي :It indicates the occurrence of an action in the past tense . It is referred as Perfect in English. There are fourteen word-forms [صيغة] of the Perfect verbs.

The Perfect and Imperative verbs are "mabni" [مَبْنِي], which means that they do not undergo any change. But the Imperfect verb is "murab" [مُعْرَبٌ] which means that it undergoes changes to indicate its function in the sentences. Like the nouns that have three cases, nominative, accusative and genitive, the imperfect verb also has three case endings which are termed in English as "Moods". These are (1) [مرفوع] indicative; (2) [منصوب ]   subjunctive; (3) [مجزوم] Jussive.

Learning Arabic by glance:

The point to note on seeing words is that the noun never has the case ending with [] called [جَزْمٌ] and the verb never has .

The sincere allegiants of Allah, apart from attentively listening, focus their vision on the words of Grand Qur'aan [25:73].  We can learn and determine, the adjectival phrase, whether or not we have those words/nouns in our vocabulary and understand their meanings, just by carefully focusing on the written pattern of the words of the sentence. If we do an exercise of locating another ten similar looking phrases in the Aa'ya'at of Grand Qur'aan, the identification/parsing method will, Insha-Allah, get inscribed in memory, and thereafter the brain will automatically parse the sentence while we listen or read it as it happens when we listen or read a sentence in our mother language. This will give us the perception, meanings and understanding of the role and function of different words in the Aa'ya'at. Watch the above pair of words that has four common factors:

****    Both the nouns [مُوْصُوف/صِفَة] must be same/correspond in gender [masculine or feminine]-Here both are masculine.

*****  Both the nouns [مُوْصُوف/صِفَة] must be same/correspond in number [singular, dual, plural]. Here both are singular.

****** Both the nouns [مُوْصُوف/صِفَة] must be same/correspond in definiteness [definite or indefinite]. Here both nouns are definite with definite article أل;

*******Both the nouns [مُوْصُوف/صِفَة] must be same/correspond in grammatical case [nominative, accusative, or genitive]. Here both the nouns are in accusative case.

By just watching the structure of above two words, we got the additional information that both are nouns. Seeing the individual structure and combination of two words is an excellent tool in learning Arabic with little effort.

Praise is for Allah, the Exalted Who made Grand Qur'aan very easy to comprehend in the language of our Guide Lord Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam. We must remain obliged to Allah for this obliging favour of sending him, from the Abode of Praise, as our Guide Lord. We must remember and mention him with respect and reverence while reading Qur'aan whereby we might feel as if he is present with us as Warner/ Awakener/ Revivalist-Loving Guide 6:19.

The Concatenation/Consistence/Contiguity/Concordance and Colligation in Grand Qur'aan.

        Having submitted, sincerely and exclusively in absolute allegiance and servitude, to the Sustainer Lord Ar'Reh'maan, we reflected that we have complete perception of time and space and our location on the Straight Path. The Path is for journeying in progressing and ever changing times towards the Destination-Place of Rest. We have requested for continued guidance in every moment and steps of our journey on the Path that  keeps heading safely and straight to the destination of peace and tranquility.

          And thereat we mention our perception and understanding about the Referred Path that it is the one which is journeyed by those people who were the recipients of showers of mercy and reward; and conversely we define this Path as opposite of the one adopted by those people who have since been held guilty for criminal cognizance; and of those who are willfully and neglectfully wandering lost in directionless bewilderment, deliberately being irrational and forgetful that there is always, in time and space, the "Star"/The Book to indicate the True Direction.
